CodeTrappers is sponsoring WordCamp Bengaluru 2026

We are sponsoring WordCamp Bengaluru 2026, and we could not be happier about it.

On 21 and 22 November, a few hundred people who use, build and care about WordPress will be in the same city for two days. We will be there too, and this year we are one of the companies backing the event as a sponsor.

This post is a short note on why we said yes, what the weekend looks like, and how to find us.

Why we are sponsoring

Everything CodeTrappers does runs on WordPress. Enterprise builds, headless front ends, WooCommerce stores doing serious volume, performance and security work for sites that cannot go down. None of that exists without the open source project underneath it, and that project does not exist without its community.

Most of what our team knows about WordPress was not learned from a course. It came from core tickets, plugin source code, meetup talks, Slack threads and people who took the time to write down what they had figured out. WordCamps are where a lot of that knowledge changes hands in person.

WordCamp Bengaluru is volunteer-run and not-for-profit. WordCamps keep tickets affordable so that students, freelancers and people early in their careers can attend, and that only works when sponsors help cover the rest. We already contribute back to WordPress core through Five for the Future. Sponsoring the camp in our own backyard felt like the obvious next step.

What the weekend looks like

The event is split across two days and two venues.

  • Saturday 21 November: Contributor Day. At Bangalore International Centre in Domlur. Tables are run by the Make WordPress teams, and anyone can sit down and contribute to WordPress itself, whether that is code, documentation, translation, accessibility or community work. Seats are limited and need a separate free sign-up.
  • Sunday 22 November: the conference. At St Joseph’s Boys’ High School on Museum Road. Two rooms and 23 sessions, made up of 7 talks, 13 lightning talks, 2 panels and a hands-on workshop, picked from 61 proposals.

The programme leans heavily into where WordPress is heading right now. There are sessions on AI agents running in production, a workshop on connecting WordPress to MCP, talks on making content discoverable in AI search, building better plugins, and a panel on what clients actually pay for today. If you read our recent piece on WordPress and MCP, you will see why we are especially looking forward to that part of the schedule.

Come and say hi

The CodeTrappers team will be at the conference. If you are attending, come and find us. We are always happy to talk about:

  • Scaling WordPress and WooCommerce without it falling over
  • Core Web Vitals and real-world performance work
  • Headless and decoupled WordPress, and when it is worth it
  • Putting AI agents to work on a WordPress site safely
  • Contributing to WordPress, especially if you have never done it before

Or just come and tell us what you are building. That is usually the best conversation of the day.

Getting a ticket

Tickets, the full schedule and venue details are on the official site at bengaluru.wordcamp.org/2026. Lunch, filter coffee, a badge and swag are included with the conference ticket.

A big thank you to the organisers and volunteers who put WordCamp Bengaluru together every year. It takes a lot of unpaid hours to run an event like this well, and we are glad to play a small part in it.

See you in Bengaluru.
